Hydrangea serrata
This beautiful hydrangea was discovered on the sacred Mount Chiri in South Korea by Dan Hinkley. This mountain hydrangea.has lovely clusters of near white flowers (though can also range into soft blue) while aging through shades of pink. The leaf has a nice thick texture to it with brushed purple overlay. I saw this originally at a local nursery, and decided I needed to think on it. When I returned, someone else had clearly had to ponder it less. My mom used to call these "mind-stickers" - and it stuck so hard, I sourced it from my friends at Broken Arrow Nursery. It's a great variety.
