Beni Sazanami

Beni Sazanami translates to red ruffles. This is an exceptional form of red with heavily ruffled lobe edges. This variety is sometimes prone to dieback. It needs enough sun to color, but protection from hot afternoon sun and hot, drying winds. This is a spectacular and rarely seen cultivar.
