Acer shirasawanum
Yasemin was discovered by Cor van Gelderen of Esveld Nursery in Holland and named for his daughter Mirte Yasemin. In Spring, Yasemin pops with deep maroon leaves, with each lobe bearing a finely toothed edges, strongly resembling the deeply divided Acer palmatum varieties. This is a fairly resilient and strong if not slow grower, but well worth the wait.
