Murasaki Shikibu

Named for the famous female writer of the Tales of the Genji, this exceptionally beautiful cultivar boasts beautiful pink and white variegation. This particular variety doesn't always require severe pruning to bring out the best color, ideal for gardeners like me. This also seems to make a much larger and robust tree.
