Galanthus species
Snowdrops are like crocus. They never quite end up where you think, and you never have enough. I have been planting various species, all native originally to Europe and Asia, for many years now. A couple of little groups pop up each Spring, dance and delight for a few days, and disappear for another year. Often, they will even peak through late Spring snows. The Biltmore has an extensive colony of Galanthus that bloom near Christmas time.
