Acer palmatum
As Paul Harvey used to say, there's often "the rest of the story". I met Fred Weisensee at his nursery, Dancing Oaks Nursery in the Fall of 2023. I commented on a beautiful new maple. Beautiful cream reticulated with a pink rose blush, and even bright peach Fall color to boot. Fred shared with me that he had visited Talon Buchholz's Nursery and had picked it out of a host of reticulated seedlings. Talon apparently then chose to name and propagate it with his name, the "Fred" of Fred's Wild Dream.
