Momoiro Koyosan

Acer palmatum

About

This stunning cultivar explodes in Spring with the softest peach colored foliage that appears translucent when viewed from below. This color persists in cooler Springs, but fades to a very pleasant mid green. The leaves are also rather dainty and smallish, letting light through to plants below. Fall brings beautiful red color. This beautiful Japanese name translates to the Peach-Colored Wild Mountain. It is regarded as one of Dick van der Maat's finest introductions.
