Catalpa x erubescens
This is a hybrid between North American Catalpa bignoniioides and the Chinese Catalpa ovata. This is originated in France in the late 19th century. Large heart shaped leaves in Spring that are a dark purple-black, greener in shade. As the leaves mature, older leaves are dark green.
