Hana Tsukasa

Acer palmatum

About

Definitely, this cultivar stands out among variegated. The foliage emerges in Spring like exotic pink and white butterflies on green stems. Some foliage is pink or white only, with other leaves developing some green. Leaves with strong green often distort and twist, adding to the movement in the plant. So far this is twiggy, but other cultivars like Beni Shichihenge present this way also. Hana means flower, while Tsukasa references Tsukasa Nursery.
