Aoyagi

Aoyagi is an old cultivar selected for spectacular chartreuse green bark and chartreuse green foliage. As this cultivar ages, an attractive gray flows up from the ground line and speckles into the green for a unique look. Fall color is buttery golden yellow. Aoyagi translates to a green or blue-green willow. The bark does in fact resemble the soft fresh Spring green of young willow shoots and buds.
