Acer palmatum
Dissectum
Some folks consider this synonymous with Germaine's Gyration. The more I grow them side by side, the habits seem different. Contorta tends to be more shrubby, whereas Germaine's Gyration gets to be a small tree. Both provide wonderful twisting and contorted green branches that look beautiful in snow, with soft lime green foliage. Fall tends to be gold with a little orange towards the end.
